Who We Are
Back in 2013 as a younger, newly married couple, we found ourselves looking to cut costs on home heating. Initially, we installed a small wood stove in our living room. Over time, we installed an all-nighter stove in the basement, making wood burning our primary heating source. Despite having access to seasoned firewood, we often found ourselves dealing with smoke from partially damp wood, mold, and insects.
Two children, a new home, and two more wood stoves later, we could no longer keep up with the demand of burning wood as our primary heat source, but we still wanted the ambiance of a fire.
Through extensive research, with a bit of trial and error, we discovered the difference in burning kiln-dried firewood, which transformed our wood-burning experience. We now burn quality wood that we know is free from mold and pests and doesn't create creosote buildup in our chimney.
